This year’s fantastic production from ‘The Whitty Kids’ is a pirate adventure with a twist. The Queen has summoned Drake and Raleigh to go on a quest to find her ‘Golden Wonders’; the first to return with the treasure will win the Queen’s heart. The comedy adventure follows the trials and tribulations of Drake and Raleigh as they race for the Queen’s affections; Drake with the help of his trusty crew (and his dashing good looks) and Raleigh with the help of his accomplices, 3 slightly shady rats, his drunken crew and the biggest boat in the world (a two-man dinghy!). There are mishaps, mayhem, talking rats and birds and even a guest appearance from a famous Caribbean pirate! Written by the Whitty Adults (Sarah Earley, Sarah Hall, Toby Jasper and Jack Turnock), it is a show full of fun and not to be missed.
Mary Tavy Coronation Hall at 6:30pm; adult tickets £4, child tickets £2, available from Dukes Café and Whitchurch Primary School.
