Fifteen Morris sides came from all over the South West, including Gloucestershire, to perform for the 5th ‘Pudsey Day of Morris’, organised by Meavy-based Dartmoor Border Morris. One very special guest, Pudsey Bear himself, also turned up and gave the Morris sides a big boost in their efforts for the BBC Children in Need appeal. In six hours of dancing in and around Tavistock, Pudsey Bear collected £1,552.88 for the appeal. Dartmoor Border Morris would like to thank all the Morris sides who attended, but also Tavistock Town Council, BBC Radio Devon, Bob`s East End Cafe, Dartmoor Brewery and the staff of the Explorer pub in helping to make this event happen. Next year`s event is already in the planning, so if you would like to be involved, contact dartmoorbordermorris.com or like their Facebook page. It`s Morris! How much fun can we have?
