The Two Bridges Hotel is an historic and utterly charming oasis in the heart of Dartmoor National Park.
The setting is perfect, on the green and leafy banks of the West Dart River, surrounded by open Dartmoor countryside as far as the eye can see. There are beautiful walks to be enjoyed from the hotel, but it’s also a joy to just find a sunny spot in the hotel’s large gardens and truly relax.
Step inside the Two Bridges Hotel and you will instantly feel the history of the place. The main bar and lounge area has not one but two giant open fires, and all around you will see gleaming copper, beautiful antiques and squishy sofas.
The hotel has 31 individually-styled bedrooms, ranging from cosy Country rooms to distinctly indulgent Premier rooms complete with four poster beds and spa baths.
The award-winning Tors Restaurant at the Two Bridges Hotel serves some of the finest West Country produce, in beautifully presented dishes which show off the talents of Executive Chef Mike Palmer and his team to the full. The Two Bridges Hotel has been awarded two AA Rosettes, and a Gold Award from Taste of the West, in recognition of its excellent cuisine and attentive (but very friendly) service.
The Two Bridges Hotel is one of Devon’s best-loved wedding venues. There is a choice of rooms for a wedding ceremony, and the stunning Riverside Pagoda for something truly special. The Fountain Room function suite is a beautiful and versatile space for a wedding reception, and offers delightful Dartmoor views from every window.
The Two Bridges Hotel is very welcoming, whether you are staying at the hotel or not. Non-residents are very welcome for breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning coffee and perfect Devon Cream Teas. At lunchtime, you can choose from a light bite, sandwich or soup, or a range of more substantial lunchtime treats (including delicious fresh fish, vegetarian dishes, and perfectly cooked steaks from the hotel’s favourite Tavistock butcher).
