Wind In The Willows is coming to The Garden House, Devon! Saturday 5th August 2017 – 6pm

Boxtree Productions are bringing their fantastic new musical adaptation of 'Wind In The Willows' to the beautiful Garden House near Yelverton in Devon on the 5th August this year.  

Boxtree Productions have been touring open air theatre since 2014 and have produced musical versions of; 'The Three Musketeers', 'Around The World In 80 Days' and 'The Scarlet Pimpernel'. This is the first time that the Garden House has had open air theatre in over 10 years and it is a spectacular setting for such a beloved children's story.  What better way to while away a balmy summers evening than watching a fantastic tale of rivers, motor-cars and picnics told in the energetic Boxtree Productions style?

The Garden house

Join Mole as she throws down her broom and heads out to find adventure.  She meets Ratty, Badger and Toad, whose exploits cause all manner of trouble.  When the conniving and criminal Weasels set their sights on Toad Hall it's up to Mole, Ratty, Toad and Badger to take back the Hall and learn the Weasels a lesson.  Featuring lots of fast-paced fun, excitement and original music, there is something for the whole family to enjoy.

James Franklin, managing director of Boxtree Productions said; “We are so excited to be coming to The Garden House, it's a real gem in the heart of the Devon countryside and will be such a quintessentially British setting for the show.”

Nick Haworth, head gardener at The Garden House said; “Moles aren’t always welcome in the garden but I’ll make an exception for this one! We’re all looking forward to seeing the cast in action around the lake. It’s going to be a very special evening.”

The audience can arrive from an hour before the performance begins and are encouraged to bring a picnic, a blanket or low-backed chair, even a glass of wine or two and soak up the atmosphere of this incredible show in the grounds of The Garden House.

'Wind In The Willows' will be at The Garden House on the 5th August 2017.  The show will start at 6pm and will be approximately 2 hours long including an interval.
