A scintillating combination of music, sound and storytelling...
The Devil’s Violin Company weave us into magical webs which are profound, beautiful and complex. Master storyteller Daniel Morden, with cellist Sarah Moody and violinist Oliver Wilson-Dickson, lead us into the forest, telling stories within stories, sometimes scary, sometimes sad, or sweet, or funny. ‘Stolen’ is the tale of the search for a missing princess, and it unfolds with a string of words, a daub of colour, harmonious chords, and with echoes of mystery and revelation – all of it simply beautiful and enchanting.
‘Stolen’ is part of a project, Villages in Action, which brings quality music and theatre to villages in Devon. Previous performances in Mary Tavy - whether jazz, folk music or drama - have proved very popular and audiences clearly appreciate having great events on their doorstep.
