Fun Palaces are about local communities getting together and creating their version of ‘culture’ with hands-on events to bring people together. This is our third year hosting this fabulous event and we can’t wait to get our fun pants out - Tavistock Library's Fun Palace ‘pants bunting’ has become synonymous with this event and Stella Duffy, author and one of the founders of this International event, is an especial fan. Expect lots of fun and new activities, along with a few of our old favourites and something for everybody, young and old. The line-up so far includes the Tamar Valley Male Voice Choir, a radiographer complete with bones and X-rays, a local potter, a local textile artist, Sarah with her Singer sewing machines and of course, Sew with Sally, a group of very gifted ladies willing to share their sewing skills. The beauty of this event is that we give the community their own space to share their talents or discover new interests. Entry is free and it’s free to take part! 10:00am - 3:00pm, Tavistock Library, Plymouth Rd, Tavistock
We are always on the lookout for interesting local people to take part so please get in touch on 01822 612218 if you can help.
