Vintage & Miniature Steam Festival at Morwellham Quay
Friday evening, 16th September & Weekend of 17th & 18th September Open from 10am until late Vintage & Miniature Steam Festival glorying in everything vintage from tractors and steam engines to arts and crafts, with camping and music on Friday and Saturday nights.
Friday night: Lucy & Kevin Burrow–Kevin plays the bodhran, a traditional Celtic frame drum, and Lucy the violin and penny whistle, singing gentle ballads solo and together belting out shanties.
Saturday night: Geoff Lakeman – local folk dynasty patriarch, now retired and singing solo, a mix of traditional West Country folk songs plus some new tunes he’s penned himself. Followed by: Tom Crocker’s Ghost– a 10-piece ukulele band who have fun singing music ranging from the Beatles to Amy Winehouse.
