A creative writing short ction workshop focusing on Gothic ction writing inspired by classical music with a Gothic edge. Music such as Charles Gounod’s opera Faust (1859), Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique (1830), Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain ((1867), Carmina Burana by Carl Orff (1936), Benjamin Britten’s adaptation of Henry James’s supernatural novella The Turn of the Screw (1954), the ‘ghost-opera’ the Lighthouse (1979) by Peter Maxwell Davies and Bohemian Rhapsody (1975) by Queen.
