Heritage Weekend Talk
Following the success of the Throwleigh Heritage Weekend, Chris Chapman is once again introducing the film made by the BBC in 1985 about the sale of the Dartmoor longhouse at Shilstone Farm.
Chris, well-known as author and photographer, has lived in the parish for some 43 years. In his visual presentation, including some images not widely seen before, he will share some of his earliest memories of the village and relate how he became involved with the timely preservation of Higher Shilstone farmhouse and the subsequent BBC documentary ‘Ours to Keep’.
The talk and film will be shown at Throwleigh Village Hall on Friday, November 8th at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £5, refreshments by donation. Booking essential. Telephone Dawn Hatton on 01647 231051 for tickets/more information.
