Music Venue Trust is delighted to announce Fightback Plymouth, a two-week celebration of Plymouth’s vital Grassroots Music Venues that will take place 13th -28th September. Fightback Plymouth is a new campaign that will encourage audiences to visit their local grassroots music venue and promote Plymouth’s emerging and existing musical talent. Fightback Plymouth will provide the focus for events taking place at the city’s Grassroots Music Venues, with live music every day throughout the festival at a whole range of venues right across Plymouth. Many venue bars will be participating further in the Music Venue Trust's fundraising campaign by stocking Fightback Lager, a craft beer developed from within the grassroots music community. A donation from every pint and can sold, gives financial support to the charity. Alongside more than 150 shows in 19 venues, the event will also host the showing of a short film ‘Our Growing Silence’ narrated by actor Art Malik, plus panel discussions and networking.
Fightback Plymouth is keen to interact with local businesses to create a truly unique festival that unifies the Plymouth grassroots community. Contact gary@musicvenuetrust.com if you are interested in getting involved with the event.
