The Dartmoor Society's next event is an evening with Donna Baker a local author who writes under the name of Lilian Harry. Bill Murray who organises our events got in touch with Donna and we are very pleased that she agreed to come and talk to us about her work. She has written 12 books in the Burracombe series as well as historical novels and works of non-fiction.
Burracombe is a fictional place but Meavy Parish is at the heart of the area that Donna took as her inspiration. It's a traditional village that has a pub, parish hall and village green with it's famous oak tree.
Copies of Donna’s books will be available on the night at reduced prices, for cash only. The proceeds of the day will be split between The Brain Tumour Charity and the Dartmoor Society.
All are welcome. Please book online or phone Bill Murray on 01647 231297
