BEGINNERS' WATERCOLOURS
Cost: Free but donations welcomed
This course will be taught through a combination of zoom tutorials and video classes. If you haven't used zoom before, don't worry - we will help you get connected and used to it.
Each Monday between 10 and 11am there will be a group tutorial where we will look at each other's work so far and discuss the next session. The dates are: 17th , 24th & 31st January.
This will be followed by an email to a video link/slideshow for that week's class. You can follow the video at your own pace, rewind, freeze frame etc.
On Wednesday afternoon you will have a one to one tutorial over zoom where you will be able to discuss your progress and get individual help from your tutor. These will last up to 15 minutes and a time slot will be booked at the group tutorial.
It may be that we feel safe to meet up face to face for the final session. This will be discussed with everyone taking part, when we have more up to date information of the Covid situation in January.
You will need some basic materials to take part.
- Watercolour paper - we recommend 140lb - 300gsm Not ( which means not hot pressed) & has a little texture
- Watercolour paints tubes are easier to use than a pan set - we recommend WH Smiths own brand of 24 tubes as these have all the colours you need
- A couple of paint brushes & something to use as a pallet.
