Plymouth and Cornwall Cancer fund
Sparkwell Horse and Dog Show committee recently presented Plymouth and Cornwall Cancer Fund with a cheque for £4000 which will be used to support ongoing local cancer projects. Plymouth and Cornwall Cancer Fund is a local charity supporting local people with cancer within a forty-mile radius of Plymouth. It supports patients under the care of Derriford Hospital and other local establishments that provide treatment and care, through hardship grants, funding research projects and staff education, supporting complimentary staffing posts and hospital equipment. Sparkwell Horse and Dog Show has been held since 1975 and over the years it has raised over £100,000 for Cancer Research and Plymouth and Cornwall Cancer Fund.
