The trustees of Okehampton United Charity are pleased to announce the launch of a fund to help those suffering hardship in the current pandemic circumstances.
Do you live in Okehampton or Hamlets (Brightley, Southcott, Meldon or Stockley)?
Have you or a member of your household, since the 23rd March and as a direct result of the governments Coronavirus measures, either;
- • Become unemployed and are not eligible or included in the governments job retention scheme (furlough)
- • Or if self-employed, lost all work and income and are not eligible for the governments self-employment income support scheme.
If so, the COVID 19 Hardship Grants Fund can provide a grant of up to £250 (one per household). The fund will run until the 31st May 2020 and may be extended if local need continues.

Okehampton United Charity are working with local organisations like the Foodbank, Okehampton Coronavirus (Covid 19) Volunteer Group, Okehampton Medical Centre, Citizens Advice and West Devon CVS to promote the fund.
