We welcome award-winning author Sophie Neville, the President of the Arthur Ransome Society (the second largest literary society in the UK and ‘Titty’ in the 1974 film of ‘Swallows & Amazons’ back to give an illustrated talk – one reviewer thought her amusing book (the title of this talk) was a novel but it is all true; after the film, Sophie embarked on a career in television production, often filming with her family’s tame otters - it is hoped that the ‘Durrells otter’ will be present as well again this year; Sophieis now Patron of the UK Wild otter Trust, which is based here in Devon.
