The South West Chamber Choir, a group of some 25 singers,
was formed in 1995. We have a wide-ranging repertoire
of small-scale choral music, secular and sacred, from the
Renaissance to the present day – much of our repertoire in
unaccompanied.
We will be singing a programme of music from the Baroque
era: Vivaldi’s famous Gloria, and English anthems by Purcell,
Boyce, Croft and Gibbons. We will be accompanied by
the Four Seasons String Quartet with trumpet, recorder
and continuo, and the programme also includes Purcell’s
Trumpet Sonata and a Vivaldi Concerto Grosso. 7.30 pm – St
Eustachius’s Church. Tickets: £10 in advance (£5 for children
up to 18) online from www.wegottickets.com - by phone or in
person from Book Stop (01822 617244), or £12 on the door (£6
for students)
